Between Yin and Yang: The Art of Femininity and Masculinity

Step into a dialogue between yin and yang ‒ between femininity and masculinity, stillness and movement, light and shadow. This event explores how these contrasting yet complementary forces shape artistic expression and the art of living, through painting, sound, and performance. The evening opens with a visual presentation and conversation between artist Leilei Qu and philosopher Manhua Li, followed by a roundtable discussion with Nick Bunnin, Leilei Qu, Michelle Castelletti, William Beswick, and Manhua Li. Together, they reflect on how creative and gendered energies influence practice, collaboration, leadership, and community building in the arts. Join us for an evening where opposites meet, revealing yinyang as a living art.
