Paul Irwin Crookes and Kyle Jaros have just published analysis in ChinaFile that explores issues and tensions in UK-China relations. Coinciding with Prime Minister Theresa May’s visit and the continuing rhetoric of the “golden era”, the article examines three underlying premises that underpin UK policy towards China in both political and economic terms. Their analysis shows why each of these premises needs to be re-examined in order to provide a better informed framework for designing post-Brexit bilateral relations.
