Paul Irwin Crookes took the opportunity during a recent research trip to London to catch up with alumni from the MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies by getting together at a local pub in the heart of Bloomsbury. Despite a June downpour outside, a combination of warm good humour, great company and excellent beer made for a memorable and very enjoyable evening all round. Joining Paul in London were those from both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 cohorts of MSc graduates. Paul will be presenting his latest research on UK-China relations in the wake of Brexit as part of the University’s Alumni Weekend event in Oxford in September and hopes to see many more of the MSc’s former students there.
