Paul Irwin Crookes presented his latest research thinking at the annual EU-China Policy and Practice Roundtable and Forum in Brussels organised by the Friends of Europe think-tank in collaboration with the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the EU. The event brought together politicians, officials, business executives, and academics from leading international universities to discuss EU-China trade and investment flows in light of the One Belt One Road initiative. As part of his presentation, Paul drew on examples to outline the ongoing political and economic challenges that face both the EU and China in realising progress towards an effective strategic partnership.
