"By the time I arrived at Oxford I had already spent four undergraduate years studying International Business and Chinese at Tsinghua and Fudan Universities, China and Iowa State University, the US, as well as in the UK.
Oxford provided the perfect environment to build on these experiences and I graduated in 2012 with an MSc in Modern Chinese Studies. I found it a superbly structured interdisciplinary course embracing language, economics, culture, politics and history plus qualitative and quantitative research techniques. The teaching was first class and hugely personal, enabling each student to reach their maximum potential. The course was central to my subsequent success in gaining a position at WPP a global leader in marketing communications.
Outside the lecture theatre, Oxford is a vibrant place to live and offered me many exciting opportunities, including the role of Marketing Director in both the University's Fashion and Social Societies. I even got my feet wet as a member of Wolfson College rowing crew.
Using my fluency in Mandarin and European languages I am dedicated to building an international business career and I will forever remember with gratitude the brilliant foundation I have been given at Oxford."
